Ryan Coil grew up in a creative environment in Nashville, TN and has been performing since he was a child. Surrounded with all the facets of the fine and performing arts, he was first drawn to theatre and film in junior high. From then on Ryan has been a passionate performer, creator, and collaborator.

   Ryan studied film, theatre, and communications at Gordon College outside of Boston, MA. Deeply involved in both dramatic and comedic theatrical and film projects, he was also a long term member of their improv troupe, performing at various colleges and competitions in the Boston area.  While at college he studied with the ImprovBoston Comedy School, and was also selected to study with The Atlantic Theatre Company in New York City.

   In 2013, Ryan became a cast member in two resident casts at ImprovBoston, including the ImprovBoston National Touring Company. Here he was given the opportunity to both act and give back to the community through teaching and performance.  

Ryan has trained in Improv and Sketch comedy at The Upright Citizens Brigade and iO West Theatre here in Los Angeles.

He now performs weekly at the iOWest Theatre with his Harold team "Linoleum City", and is  a member of the UCB Mess Hall team "Busters" who frequently performs at UCB Sunset.
